Chief Executive Officer

Raymond Peter Zambuto, CCE, FASHE, FHIMSS, FACCE is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Technology in Medicine, Inc. Mr. Zambuto's primary duties are in the areas of long-range planning, marketing, program development, and corporate strategy. As President, he sets the tone and embodies the philosophy of the organization. Mr. Zambuto has, since the inception of TiM, maintained that "high quality service at a fair price" would be the hallmark of the organization. In pursuit of this objective, he has overseen the development of a staff that has consistently extended itself to provide service of a high value. Mr. Zambuto has been equally aggressive in developing the full potential of TiM's employees, maintaining openness to new ideas from all levels of the organization, and approaching the human needs of TiM with understanding and a positive spirit.

Prior to founding Technology In Medicine, Inc. with Dr. Saul Aronow in 1974, Mr. Zambuto was the Assistant Director of the Medical Engineering Program at the Massachusetts Hospital Association. His background also includes work at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston as Senior Medical Engineer specializing in instrumentation for research on myocardial infarctions and computerized patient information management systems, and as a biomedical engineer at Lockheed Electronics Company in Hyattsville, Maryland.

Mr. Zambuto holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Bio-Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, New York, where he was a Special Fellow of the National Institutes of Health. He is a Certified Clinical Engineer and has presented and published numerous papers at both engineering and health care conferences. He has served on the Health Care Committee of the Smaller Business Association of New England, the U.S. Board of Examiners in Clinical Engineering Certification, as Treasurer-Director of the non-profit American Medical Resource Foundation, President of the American College of Clinical Engineering, and as a Founding Director of the ACCE Healthcare Technology Foundation.

Mr. Zambuto is a Fellow of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), the Healthcare Information and Systems Management Society (HIMSS), and the American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE). He is currently the Medical Group Executive Vice President of the Service Industry Association, ACCE Delegate to the Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (ANSI), and Co-Chair of the Patient Care Devices domain of Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE).  In 2006, he received the Excellence in Clinical Engineering and Information Technology Synergies Award from HIMSS and ACCE.   

Chief Operating Officer

Paul C. Monahan, Jr. is Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Technology In Medicine, Inc. Mr. Monahan is responsible for the general management of the income producing and administrative segments of TiM, including the maintaining of appropriate cost/income ratios, quality of work product, and productivity levels. Mr. Monahan also provides direction and support to the managers of each division.

Mr. Monahan joined TiM in 1976 as a field service representative following employment with Russelectric, Inc., of Hingham, Massachusetts. As part of the TiM Resident Technician Program, Mr. Monahan developed the Biomedical Equipment Services Department at the Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston, and was responsible for the expansion of the program into the areas of hemodialysis, orthopedic services, pre-purchase evaluations, and specialized educational services. He was also actively involved in the design, construction, and initial phase use of the hospital's Multi-disciplinary Intensive Care Unit.

Following his appointment as Manager of Resident Technician Programs, Mr. Monahan established and supervised resident programs at The Waltham Hospital, the Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and the Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. As Director of Technical Services, Mr. Monahan was responsible for technical operations at all TiM institutions. With the acquisition of Northeast HealthShare (Maine) and Hospital Services, Inc. (New Hampshire) in 1987, he assumed the position of Senior Vice President.

Mr. Monahan has served as President of the Medical Device Society of Boston and on the Clinical Engineering Steering Committee of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). He has lectured at both engineering and healthcare conferences and is presently pursuing a degree in small business management. Mr. Monahan is presently an active member in AFSM International, and the Northern New England Society of Biomedical Equipment Technicians, and he serves on the Advisory Board of Parts Source.

Controller

Robert A. Giordano is the Controller of Technology in Medicine, Inc. He is responsible for managing and reporting all financial and Human Resources matters for TiM and supervises the accounting staff.

He has over thirty years of experience in the financial profession with Granada Hospital Group as their Financial Operations Manager and with Eastern Sales & Marketing, Needham, MA as their Accounting Manager.

He is a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in Inchon, Korea, on a training mission with the South Korean military.

Mr. Giordano holds an Associates degree from Bryant & Stratton, Boston, MA and a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Northeastern University.
